While the world changes, we feel some things are best left alone. That's why today's Bayard's Chocolates taste just as good as the originals.

Bayard's Chocolates began as the hobby of James Bayard Kelly II. But by 1939, they'd become so popular he started making and selling them out of a small home and storefront. Like so many other original brands, they became a local favorite first. Pretty soon though, the word spread. And the Bayard's tradition of fine homemade American chocolates was born.

In the 1950's, James Bayard Kelly II's son, JBK III, put his personal stamp on the business with his idea of chocolate "houses". Today the original houses are still thriving. We'll still let you hand pick your favorites, and we'll hand pack them for you carefully. Each batch is still made entirely from scratch, too, using only the finest, purest natural ingredients. That's why so many families still line up for their Bayard's Chocolates around the holidays.
